Covering: Castlemilk, Glenwood, Windlaw, Tormusk.
The local landmark: Cathkin Braes Country Park rises above the district, with wide views over the city.
On the ground: Post-war terraces and four-in-a-block flats on steep, hilly streets, with some low-rise walk-up closes. Kerbside works well here: have everything at the door and the driver loads.
While you wait for the van: Castlemilk was built in the 1950s to rehouse around 34,000 people from inner city areas such as the Gorbals.
