Covering: Pollok, Priesthill, Nitshill, South Nitshill, Darnley, Parkhouse.
The local landmark: Crookston Castle, Glasgow's only surviving medieval castle, overlooks the district from its wooded hilltop.
On the ground: Post-war council estates and newer private developments mean mostly ground floor doors and short paths, with some four-in-a-block flats. Kerbside works well here: have everything at the door and the driver loads.
While you wait for the van: Crookston Castle was the first property ever acquired by the National Trust for Scotland, gifted by Sir John Stirling Maxwell in 1931.
